Why do we like this?
This is a song that I can't quite seem to get out of my head at the moment, strangely enough. I say strangely because UK quartet Candy Says produces lo-fi garage pop, which in general doesn't work for me, but in this case it has become incredibly catchy.
"Favourite Flavour" was recorded in a bungalow garage with a couple of microphones, giving it that lo-fi feel, but it's Juju's vocals (the lead female) that give the single a very chic pop feel to it. It's like listening to a more downtempo CSS or The Ting Tings while maintaining all elements of captivation.
