Why do we like this?

Well well, The Hunger Games soundtrack just seems to be packed with hit after hit. Case in point: Lorde covering Bright Eyes' "Ladder Song."

The original track appeared on the 2011 album The People's Key, a heartfelt piano ballad sung with an emotion that only Conor Oberst is capable of. If you haven't heard it, you can check it out here.

Honestly, there's no point comparing Lorde to Bright Eyes: she's less than half is age, and I'd have to say that a song like this is best suited for the thoroughly depressing sound that is Mr. Oberst's alone.

Still, as a standalone, it's an interesting listen, so I figured I'd share with y'all.
