Why do we like this?
"Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" is the closing song on Bob Dylan's 1966 record, Blonde on Blonde. It happens to be more than 11 minutes long, filled almost entirely with poetic symbols pertaining to an unnamed woman. Even more interesting, Dylan has never performed this song at a concert.
This cover by Phoenix, on the other hand, appears to have been recorded in front of a live audience at the Tripwire studios, and clocks in at just under 5 minutes. And I think it's still just as beautiful.
