Why do we like this?

Despite a name which would put them in My Chemical Romance territory, Blue Sky Black Death make music more in line with the likes of Bonobo.

Sitting somewhere on the border between trip-hop, electronic, and ambient, Blue Sky Black Death make that old rarity - accessible instrumental music.

Although many people - myself included - could happily listen to music with no lyrics all day, making music without lyrics which is still appealing to a lot of people is hard because of difficulties in holding listener attention.

However, with the album Noir, and more specifically the track "Farewell to the Former World" BSBD have accomplished just this.
