Why do we like this?
Anushka's "Mansions" was originally a dance-floor ready crowd pleaser. All the elements to make it so were present: four on the floor beat with just a touch of post-dubset sensibilities and an angelic vocalist. That's good and all, but to keep things interesting, DJ Krust was invited to shake things up a tad.
The drum-n-bass legend rips the original open and rebuilds it into three monstrous parts. The initial movement is a slow-building warbling beast, then it morphs into a ketamine-fueled club killer.
The last scene sees the track come closest to its original state, almost a come-down after a full night of debauchery.
