When looking for a track to remix, early 90s television theme songs are not your typical fodder. Thankfully, multi-instrumentalist Reighnbeau is not your typical producer, and Twin Peaks was not your typical TV drama.
Twin Peaks had become a bit of a cult icon by the time its two-season run was over on ABC, originally airing way back in 1990. It followed FBI agent Kyle MacLachan as he investigated the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer in the small town of Twin Peaks, Washington. Don't worry, you can watch it all on a single night binge via Netflix.
As for the bootleg from Reighnbeau, he's managed to keep that haunting 90s vibe with the simple melody and ringing bass. Some carefully placed drums and extra layers of instruments take this beyond being a theme song to something filled with character ready to stand on its own two feet apart from the show.
While it won't bring back the show for a much sought after third season, this is definitely a must listen. Whether you're a fan of Twin Peaks or someone who has no clue what I'm talking about, I promise you'll enjoy this.
