Why do we like this?

One of the best mixes I've heard so far in 2015 is Fakear's Nowadays Takeover for Le Mellotron. 

As a first-time listener to Fakear, the first thing that captivated me was the high-pitched female vocal samples and native drum instruments that I proclaimed sounded "like a modern day Deep Forest." Sure enough, I soon read that the French producer is inspired by world music and the artists across the Future Classic and Ninja Tune catalogues. 

While Fakear has released some more recent singles, this remix of Andreya Triana's "Gold" remains one of my favorite tracks in his collection. 

Keep an eye on this up and coming producer, and be sure to check out the Le Mellotron mix, and his SoundCloud for two new tracks.
