Well hello, he-who-cannot-be-contained-to-one-genre.
New to Indie Shuffle today is Alphabet Pony - random name, but amazing sound. Bubbling up from the bowels of the UK, Alphabet Pony is an astounding musical enigma, fluently straddling multiple genres such as drum and bass, deep house, dubstep, etc. It's an amazing feat, masterfully incorporating so many facets.
I just heard Alphabet Pony for the first time last week and was instantly attracted to the depth of sound he carries. It's interesting enough just to hear all of the genres incorporated in every production, but the way he intertwines each element is insanely compelling.
"Atoms" is one of my favorite songs from Alphabet Pony even though it's from about a year ago. Touching on drum and bass, it seamlessly samples Jacques Greene-esque vocals and piano melodies for a perfect end result.
